An exceptional political documentary, The Times of Harvey Milk describes the career of the pioneering gay San Francisco Supervisor, who was assassinated by fellow member of the Board of Supervisors, Dan White. The film itself is one of the early documentaries about gay life in America. It’s playful and smart, and it gives a detailed picture of America and San Francisco at the time.
