Colfax Avenue: Since the formation of India and Pakistan in 1947, both countries have fought over the region known as Kashmir. Containing a Muslim majority, but ruled by Hindu dominated India, Kashmir is viewed by Pakistan as belonging to them. So strong is this conflict that it has been the trigger of two separate wars between India and Pakistan, and even drawn China into the conflict. Add to the mix the nuclear arsenal of both countries and it’s not difficult to see the potential flashpoint that Kashmir represents in the region. Historic LoDo: One of Colorado’s best known performance poets, SETH has collaborated with countless musicians, poets, actors, dancers and other performance artists in a never-ending quest to render poetry more entertaining, and thus more accessible, to general audiences. He was a member of the critically acclaimed performance art trio Jafrika, recognized by the Rocky Mountain News as “among Denver’s finest cultural offerings,” and his experimental short stories have appeared in numerous literary publications. He has been a member of Denver’s National Poetry Slam Team and currently performs with Art Compost & the Word Mechanics.
