Historic LoDo: Author and restaurateur Daniel Landes, owner of Watercourse Foods and City O’ City restaurants in Denver, as well as Osa Mariposa restaurant in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, has created, with artist Ravi Zupa, a beautiful myth of worlds in transition. Landes will read from Joonie and the Great Harbinger Stampede (Sakura Publishing), set against the backdrop of a fertile crescent of folklore, where the fruit of knowledge is plucked, while on the other side of the world, a rabbit named Joonie is born, nearly lifeless. Nurtured by the Sun and the Moon, Joonie must grow to understand his destiny, as the thundering clouds of change gather across the front range—he must collect his courage and his friends to face the Great Harbinger
Stampede. Can’t make it to the signing? Request an autographed copy here: books@tatteredcover.com Daniel Landes' website

Colfax Avenue: Will Schwalbe is the founder and CEO of Cookstr.com. Schwalbe will read from and sign his new book The End of Your Life Book Club (Knopf), a memoir about the two years he spent reading and discussing books with his mother as she was dying from pancreatic cancer. Schwalbe’s book is a profoundly moving tale of loss that is also a joyful, and often humorous, celebration of life: Will’s love letter to his mother, and theirs to the printed page.
