Located in the historic Lowenstein Theater, Tattered Cover Colfax Avenue has two floors of books and a space for autographings and events. With more than 150,000 titles in inventory and an extensive newsstand, the Colfax Avenue Store promises readers hours of leisurely browsing. Reading lamps and overstuffed chairs furnish the comforts of home, while a coffee shop on the main floor provides ready sustenance for those who want to spend the day perusing our shelves. Come in and explore the aisles, alcoves, and “sequestered nooks, and all the sweet serenity of books.” (Longfellow).

The Historic LoDo Store

Our store in historic Lower Downtown provides another reader's paradise at the end of the 16th Street Mall, near Union Station and Coors Field. The LoDo Store offers two stories of books with the added comfort of curling up by the fire in comfortable antique furnishings, bathed in lamplight. Like Colfax Avenue, it's the scene of many readings, autographings, and literary events throughout the year, and boasts a cozy coffee shop and extensive newsstand.

Location: 1628 16th Street at Wynkoop in Denver, in the restored Morey Mercantile Building, directly across Wynkoop Street from the new EPA building next to Union Station just blocks from Coors Field.Hourly parking lots are located near the store and streetside parking is also available. The Tattered Cover Book Store in Highlands Ranch opened its doors Monday, November 15, 2004. Located in the Highlands Ranch Town Center, on Highlands Ranch Parkway between Broadway and Lucent Boulevard, the store features 21,754 square feet of retail space and includes a coffee shop, newsstand and large Children's section. With both of our other locations being in central Denver, this new store is a welcome addition to the Tattered Cover family, allowing us to offer to a growing segment of the greater metro reading community the kind of atmosphere and special events that is unique to a locally-owned business.

Location: 9315 Dorchester Street in the new Highlands Ranch Town Center on Highlands Ranch Parkway between Broadway and Lucent Boulevards. A parking lot is conveniently located in the front of the store. The zipcode is 80129.
